What happens during my Diabetes Leg Health Day Assessment:

  • Podiatrist, Dr Sam Besnek will provide in-depth vascular doppler assessment (high frequency ultrasound) and measure your toe pressure
  • Spider Veins, Varicose Veins, Oedema, Leg Ulcers, Heavy Legs and other Venus medical conditions can be prevented if detected early.
  • All Consultations are held in our private leg health room, and are fully subsidised by Medicare.

What you can do to reduce your risk:

  • When you have diabetes you need to take care of your feet everyday
  • Having diabetes can increase your risk of foot ulcers and amputations
  • Daily care can prevent serious complications
  • Check your feet daily for any changes or problems
  • Visit a podiatrist annual for a check up or more frequently if your feet are at high risk.
  • Diabetes Leg Health Day will provide useful information and support resources to help people with diabetes to care for their feet.
